The Cold of Night

An African-American woman was discharged from the University of Maryland Medical Center's Midtown Campus. The patient was dropped off at a bus stop wearing only a hospital gown and socks. The woman appeared to be in distress in temperature around 35-36 degrees. The recorded viral video of the woman in distress drew outrage as the supervisor said she was medically cleared for discharge. I traveled to Baltimore and sat at the bus stop. This object is a reminder of how Black Americans are treated by the health care system in America.

Geospatial images, QGIS, ESRI software integrated abstract slave image.
